Workshop files

Files the workshop can use the day you send them.

The last step of a design is a person at a loom reading a sheet. Toranj's exports are made for that person, and your older maps can come back in the same way.

Point paper you can actually print

Choose A4 or A3 and the cell size, and put yarn numbers in the cells if you want them. Half or quarter is offered when the knots really do mirror. Persian text on the sheet comes out properly joined, which PDF fonts do not manage on their own.

A machine file with no surprises

An 8-bit indexed BMP, one pixel to a knot, top of the carpet at the top of the picture. That is what Jacquard carpet software reads, and the palette follows your yarn numbers.

One numbering everywhere

Palette entry 3, the 3 on the point paper and row 3 in the table are one yarn. Nobody has to match them up by eye.

A colour table that opens in Excel

CSV with the right encoding, so Persian names survive. Yarn, name, knots, share of the carpet.

Bring your archive with you

TIFF, BMP and 8-bit indexed PNG come in knot for knot, with their sizes and colours intact. Toranj records where each version came from: drawn by a person, computed by a tool, or a person's fix of what a tool computed.
