Several colourways, one drawing
Madder ground for one buyer, indigo for another. A colourway changes the colours and nothing else, so an edit to the drawing reaches them all.
Colour
A workshop talks about colour differently from a screen. So in Toranj a colour is a yarn with a name, and you can see exactly how much of the carpet it covers.

Give each colour the name your dyer uses. It appears on the point paper and in the colour table, and those names come with the design wherever it goes.
Every colour shows how much of the carpet it covers. A colour under a tenth of a percent gets flagged, because it may not be worth a spool.
Mark two colours as the same yarn and they count as one everywhere, in the weaving check, in the row counts and in the wool order.
