Toranj and EFAB eDesigner
eDesigner covers hand-knotted, machine-woven, printed and robot-tufted carpets, it is sold in Iran too, and it sits next to EFAB's own tufting robots. It reaches further into production and room rendering than Toranj does.
Where it is the better choice
- Robot tufting. If you run or plan to buy an eTuft, the software and machine come from one maker.
- Seeing the carpet in a room, for selling to interior designers.
- Printed carpets, which Toranj does not address.
Where Toranj is the better choice
- Point paper for weavers is built in, and the workshop's yarn numbering carries through every file.
- Buyers, reviewers and weavers join at no charge, and you see who is looking.
- You can try it without a sales conversation.

you use EFAB robots, or room rendering is how you sell.
If you do move
Export an 8-bit indexed image and import it to Toranj knot for knot. For a machine step, take the BMP back out.
Try it on your own work
Toranj is by invitation for now. Ask for access, then draw a design, import a map you already have and judge for yourself.
